Support the Restoration of St Columba’s Church

St Columba’s Church has stood at the heart of our community for generations. With your help, we’re working to bring this much-loved building back to life as a warm, welcoming and functional space for everyone on Eigg.

Thanks to generous supporters like you, the £7,000 raised went towards the successful purchase of the church in February 2026 for £50 000. An additional £40 000 were made available for bringing an all ability access road,  water and foul water disposal, with work expec ted to be completed by end of April 2026. 

SolasEige SCIO is now applying to development funding to finalise repairs and the building of the extension  which will respects the church’s historic character whilst creating more usable space  to house all necessary facilities as well as a stand-alone archive to preserve our heritage for future generations.

       In the meantime, we are helping Solas Eige SCIO bring in community participation                    for essential repairs.
